The photographer

Influenced by her studies, Shelley's first passion and interest in photography was focused on nature and the environment. The fusion of photography and music came in late 2001 while working as music journalist for an online magazine and taking a few simple shots for its internet presentation. To publish the very few pictures at that time a first and very simple design of Metalpics.ch went online in September 2002. Within the following months the amount of data grew fast and the old design got overloaded soon. With a lot of help of two friends, Ruud Walraven (programming) and Roman Lukanec (layout), the new Metalpics.ch was created and went online in March 2004.

You can find Metalpics.ch regularly in printed magazines across the whole world featuring concert photography, photo shootings and promotional photography as well as on official band sites, webzines and fan sites. After starting to cooperate with Lowlifemedia in 2002 a close collaboration developed resulting in a frequent usage of my photography services for various projects.
Depeche Mode, Rammstein, Metallica, Marilyn Manson, Iron Maiden, Iggy Pop and Slayer are only a few of the great artists I got the opportunity to take pictures of.
